Poem: Can't tell you, How Much I Need You

The theme of today's poem is Lord Krishna and His devotees. Lord Krishna describes four types of Bhaktas in Bhagwadgeeta (7-16). They are, ārta, artharthi, jidgyasu, and jnyani. Today's prayer is the prayer by a āarta devotee. Ārta Bhakta is a devotee who is suffering extreme distress and seek help from Bhagwan Shri Krishna.

Dear Bhagwan Krishna when I think about justice,
I remember you,
I pray to you,
Can't tell you, how much I need you.

When I think about true love,
I remember you,
Can't tell you, how much I need you.

When I think of strength,
- My strength -
Yes, it was always you,
I remember you,
I pray to you,
Can't tell you, how much I need you.

Shriram, Shrikrishna, my dear Bhagwaan,
Can't tell you how much I need you.

You know I have no other power than you,
Can't tell you how much I need you.

When I think about life
In the rotten system,
In the system of corruption
Systematic corruption,
Tell me, dear Lord,
We the ordinary people, where should we go?
I remember you,
Can't tell you, how much I need you.

The life I can hope,
The bliss I experience
Despite hardships
Is only by your power.
Can't tell you how much I need you.

Would you hear my prayer?
I know you are listening.
You know I would never try to buy fake convenient so-called truths,
You know I would never compromise for a better life,
When I think about praying to somebody,
I remember you,
O Lord Krishna! Can't tell how much I need you.

When I think about power,
I remember you,
Can't tell you, how much I need you.

You enlightened Arjuna,
You saved Draupadi every time she prayed to you,
You saved the life of Meeraji from poison.
Dear Krishna,
Please look at my tears,
Please see the toxicity in my life,
How can you see that your Mohini has to face such poison of hatred?

The hateful shameless psychology of Kauravas is still present in the World,
Your devotees are still suffering in the World,
Many puzzled Arjunas still need your guidance,
Many Draupadis are still waiting for justice,
O dear Krishna,
I pray to you,
Manifest yourself in my heart,
Take all my weaknesses,
Take all my doubts,
That's what I can offer to you

Bless me with your power and wisdom.
Dear Krishna, I pray to you,
Bless me with your power and wisdom.

When heart expresses intense feelings to their Bhagwan, it is  Ārtatā.
