Poem: Don't Bury The Thoughts

A motivational poem on how to handle overwhelming thoughts,

This question has bothered me a lot. I used to read spiritual books, some helped me, some didn't. I had asked this question to H. H. Sadgurudeva also. His answers were always very simple. He told that thoughts aren't without Chaitanya. I'm still learning how to handle them and let them go. Here is a poem what I have learnt so far.

bury the thoughts
focus, focus, focus
bury the thoughts
to focus

bury the thoughts
to pretend
you're not having them

bury the thoughts
no! no! no!
don't bury them

let them go
let them come
let them go

don't bury the thoughts
just observe them
let them come one-by-one
let them attack all at one moment
let them come
the way they come
let them go
just let them go

don't bury the thoughts
just observe them
let them come and go
they're powerless
they're harmless

don't bury the thoughts
don't get attached
don't try to detach
don't try to fight
don't try to defeat
it's not a war

don't bury the thoughts
just observe them
don't avoid them
let them come
let them go
